The New Zealand Piwakawaka (fantail) is a small insectivorous bird, the only species of fantail in New Zealand. It has four subspecies: R. f. fuliginosa in the South Island, R. f. placabilis in the North Island, R. f. penita in the Chatham Islands, and the now-extinct R. f. cervina formerly on Lord Howe Island. How to order fabric
Fabric can be ordered as a Fat Quarter, by a pre-cut Piece, or by a Custom amount:
A Fat Quarter is approximately 50 cm by 55 cm (19.5 inches by 22 inches).
Some fabrics may have a Pre-cut option such as Piece, a Half-Metre, or a Metre. These options will include the size in the selection text.
To order a Custom amount, select 'Customer Meterage (in cm)' and then enter the number of centimetres in the quantity box. For example, to order 1/2 metre, enter 50. To order 1 metre, enter 100. To order 2 3/4 metres, enter 275.
Note: There is a minimum order of 25 centimetres for the custom meterage.

Shipping - New Zealand
We ship using New Zealand Post Standard service, your shipping options will automatically be displayed at checkout. In summary:
- NZ Post Standard costs $6.90 - $15.00 and takes 3-7 business days.
- If required, a Rural Delivery Sticker will be an additional $5.70.
- You may also upgrade to Courier delivery for $3.00.
- If your order is $200 or more, NZ Post Standard Shipping is free. This does not include Rural Delivery or Courier charges.
